Con Thompson detrás del timón, los niños de todo el mundo y sus familias serán parte de un show épico, donde celebrarán a sus estrellas favoritas de cine, televisión, música, deportes y más.

“Nickelodeon ha sido parte de mi vida y mi familia desde siempre y no aguanto las ganas de ser el host de los Kids’ Choice Awards este año." Comentó Thompson. "¿Qué si estoy preocupado de que me bañen en Slime? Nooo!! Va a ser rápido y frio, pero no es la primera vez - ¿saben lo que estoy diciendo? ¡Traigan el slime y hagamos esto!”
Por primera vez en la historia, el blimp naranja de Nickelodeon dejará la sede de los KCA y llevará a los fans a un viaje alrededor del mundo y más allá; lleno de slime y piruetas divertidas, los televidentes viajaran al espacio, a Fondo de Bikini y a las casas de sus celebridades favoritas usando tecnología XR. Este año el show contará con paredes interactivas en vivo para los fans, las cuales transportarán a las celebridades y familias de sus casas al escenario principal. El show también contará con pantallas de votación en vivo y los fans tendrán el control. Además un premio KCA será presentado por una afortunada familia que será seleccionada durante el show.

Las noticias de hoy también incluyen a los nominados de los Kids’ Choice Awards 2021, donde el exitoso cantautor colombiano Sebastián Yatra, buscará llevarse el codiciado blimp naranja a Latinoamérica por su nominación a “Estrella Global Favorita”, enfrentándose a grandes artistas como Taylor Swift (Norte América), BTS (Asia), David Guetta (Europa), KG (África) y Savannah Clarke (Australia). Además, YOLO Aventuras, Fede Vigevani, Eloisa Os, Mis Pastelitos, The Donato y Antrax son nominados a “Influencer Latino” y pelearán por llevarse el premio a casa.

Liderando la lista de nominaciones se encuentra: Justin Bieber con cinco; Stranger Things con cuatro; y empatados con 3 nominaciones cada uno, Ariana Grande, The Croods: A New Age, Henry Danger, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Soul, Trolls World Tour y Wonder Woman 1984. Las presentaciones musicales serán anunciadas próximamente.
