MTV anunció los nominados para los Video Music Awards 2017
Kendrick Lamar, Katy Perry Y The Weeknd lideran las nominaciones. MTV innova al ser la primera premiación global en revelar los nominados por Instagram Live. Cambiaron algunas categorías. La transmisión en vivo por será el domingo 27 de agosto.
MTV anunció los nominados para los "MTV Video Music Awards 2017" exclusivamente en Instagram Live, donde Kendrick Lamar brilla al lograr ocho nominaciones por su video "HUMBLE". Katy Perry y The Weeknd le siguen de cerca con cinco nominaciones cada uno. Continuando con aclamada decisión de eliminar el género en las categorías para los "MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017", MTV también anunció que las categorías "Mejor Video Femenino" y "Mejor Video Masculino" han sido combinadas para formar "Artista del Año". Adicionalmente, se agregó "Mejor Pelea Contra el Sistema", para celebrar los videos que inspiran a levantarse y luchar contra la injusticia. Los "MTV Video Music Awards 2017" serán transmitidos en vivo por MTV Latinoamérica el 27 de agosto a las 7:00pm (Méx/Col) y 9:00pm (Arg).
A diferencia de otros shows y fiel a su ADN, MTV siempre pone a sus fans primero. Por primera vez, MTV reveló los nominados a través de Instagram Live con la ayuda de un equipo de estrellas de Instagram. Al día de hoy, ningún show internacional ha utilizado Instagram Live para anunciar su lista completa de nominados. Con un alcance combinado de más de 30 millones de seguidores, los influencers anunciaron uno por uno en una cadena sucesiva una parte de los nominados hasta que finalmente se reveló la lista completa. La lista de estrellas digitales estuvo conformada por Bretman Rock, Ariel Martin (Baby Ariel), DC Young Fly, Andrea Russet, Chantel Jeffries, Ricky Dillon, StassiBaby, Jay Versace y Nate Garner.
