Ahora, la emoción prosigue de la mano de los Golden Globe Awards®, la ceremonia en la que la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA) reconoce lo mejor del cine y la televisión.

EN VIVO para toda Latinoamérica desde el Beverly Hilton Hotel de Los Ángeles, el domingo 10 de enero a partir de las 9p.m. La transmisión de TNT, que contará con los comentarios de Rafa Sarmiento e Ileana Rodríguez Govela, ofrecerá además un Pre-Show desde la Alfombra Roja.

En la 73era edición del evento, el comediante, guionista y productor británico Ricky Gervais (The Office, Derek, Life’s Too Short, Extras) vuelve a ser el anfitrión, tras sus recordadas participaciones de 2010, 2011 y 2012, con sus monólogos y acotaciones mordaces.

En lo que respecta a Cine, Carol, con sus 5 nominaciones, aparece encabezando la lista de favoritas. La siguen The Big Short, The Revenant y Steve Jobs con 4 postulaciones cada una. Room, favorita de los restivales, recibió 3, al igual que la cinta de ciencia ficción de Ridley Scott, The Martian. Por su parte, Love & Mercy y Mad Max: Fury Road obtuvieron 2 nominaciones cada una.

En el apartado Mejor Película Extranjera Europa obtiene gran presencia con Mustang (Francia), Son of Saul (Hungría), The Fencer (Finlandia-Alemania-Estonia) y The Brand New Testament (Bélgica-Francia-Luemburgo). Latinoamérica también tiene su plaza con la cinta chilena El club (The Club).

En Televisión esta todo bastante repartido, ya que con 3 nominaciones cada una aparecen las series Mr. Robot (del canal SPACE), American Crime, Fargo, Outlander, Transparent y Wolf Hall. Así, se vislumbra un buen balance entre los shows ya establecidos como favoritos (The Good Wife, How To Get Away With Murder, Downton Abbey, Veep) y los debutantes (Mr.Robot, Better Call Saul, Flesh & Bone, Narcos, Bloodline, Mozart In The Jungle, Casual, My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend).

Por otra parte, el actor, director y productor Denzel Washington será distinguido con el premio especial Cecil B. De Mille, que celebra a los talentos que consiguieron importantes logros en la industria del cine y la TV. Los logros de Washington como actor y realizador le han valido 7 nominaciones a los Golden Globe Awards®, con 2 premios. También es doble ganador del Oscar®.

Creados en 1944, los Golden Globe Awards® son los premios entregados por la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA). Los especialistas indican que los resultados de esta ceremonia son un excelente adelanto de los Oscar®, ya que muchas ocasiones consagran a los mismos ganadores en sus principales categorías.
