La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas® anunció hoy 25 de enero los nominados a los Oscar® 2011, y ya comienza la cuenta regresiva para disfrutar de esta prestigiosa entrega el próximo 27 de febrero por TNT.

Liderando la lista se encuentra el film The King's speech con doce candidaturas, entre ellas Mejor Película, Mejor actor, Mejor Director, Mejor Actor secundario, Mejor Actriz secundaria, Mejor fotografía, Mejor Banda Sonora, entre otras. Le sigue con diez "True grit" y con ocho "Inception" y "The social network".
En la categoría Mejor Película además de las cuatro mencionadas quedaron seleccionadas: Black Swan, The fighter, The kids are all right, 127 hours, Toy Story 3, True grit y Winter's Bone.

Por su parte, Javier Bardem, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Colin Firth y James Franco se disputarán el premio a Mejor Actor Principal, y lo propio harán Annette Bening, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman y Michelle Williams como Mejor Actriz Principal.

En tanto que el galardón a Mejor Película Animada será disputado por sólo tres producciones: How to train your dragon, The illusionist y Toy Story 3. Mientras que los films seleccionados para competir como Mejor Película Extranjera son Outside the law de Argelia, la canadiense Incendies, In a better world de Dinamarca, Dogtooth de Grecia y la mexicana Biutiful.

TNT transmitirá en exclusiva, en vivo y directo, la 83ª edición del evento el domingo 27 de febrero Teatro Kodak de Hollywood de Los Ángeles a partir de las 22.00 hs. La conducción estará a cargo de los jóvenes Anne Hathaway (Alice in Wonderland, The Devil Wears Prada) y James Franco (Spider-Man, Your Highness), considerados como “la próxima generación de Hollywood”, según los productores del show.

A las 21.00, el público podrá disfrutar en primera fila del tradicional pre-show, con sus artistas favoritos desfilando por la alfombra roja, a cargo del periodista argentino, Axel Kuschevatzky, ganador del Oscar® el año pasado por El secreto de sus ojos; y, por primera vez, de Liza Echeverría, conductora mexicana de vasta experiencia.
